Po-Chun Wang is a composer and sound designer in Cambridge, Massachusetts for Harmonix Music Systems. She has worked on projects such as Beatles: Rock Band, LEGO Rock Band, The Rock Band Network, Rock Band 2, AC/DC Live: Track Pack, Rock Band: Unplugged and Rock Band downloadable content. In addition to being a composer and sound designer, Wang had also taught Analytical Techniques in Tonal Music and Jazz Arranging at Boston University Distance Education. During 2006 to 2008, she taught Piano lab and theory at the Massachusetts Institutes of Technology.
She has received awards such as First prize at the Accent03 Composition Competition, the Ellen Taaffe Zwillich Prize, IAWM, and Boston Symphony Hall young composer award.Wang received her BM in 2002 from Berklee College of Music, where she studied composition with Marti Eptein and John Bavicchi. She attained her MM in 2004 from Boston University where she studied with Lukas Foss and Steven Weigt. At the University of Missouri – Kansas City she studied with Chen-Yi, Paul Rudy, Zhou Long and James Mobberley.
